How much does it cost to hire a personal injury lawyer?

Do I even have a case?

How long do I have to file a claim in Florida?
For most injury cases, Florida’s 2023 tort reform (HB 837) shortened the deadline to two years from the date of the accident, and some claims are shorter. Waiting costs you evidence and leverage, so it’s best to call early.
What if the accident was partly my fault?
Florida uses modified comparative negligence: you can still recover if you were 50% or less at fault, with your award reduced by your share of the blame. Don’t assume you’re out, fault is rarely as clear-cut as the insurer claims, so let us review it first.
What is my case worth?
Anyone who promises a number before reviewing your case is guessing. Value depends on your injuries, your treatment, your lost income, and the at-fault party’s available insurance coverage. We’ll give you an honest range once we understand what happened.
Will I have to go to court?
Most cases settle. But insurers pay more when they know your lawyer is genuinely prepared to try the case, so we build every file for trial from the start, whether or not it ends up there.
